Ëmê-êgë Dêtîkè (/ˈëmɘ/ /ˈɘgë/ [charcoal] [plague]) is a subtropical Large Town located in the Ko-13nhun Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Ëmê-êgë Dêtîkè is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Ëmê-êgë Dêtîkè was founded by Grèsê Dyênhê, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Ëmê-êgë Dêtîkè has a yearly average temperature of 19°C (66°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 30°C (86°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cold 9°C (48°F). Ëmê-êgë Dêtîkè receives an average of 215 cm/y (84 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. Ëmê-êgë Dêtîkè covers an area of nearly 6 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 2060 m (6758 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Ëmê-êgë Dêtîkè was founded durring the late 13th century in fall of the year 1183, by Grèsê Dyênhê. The establishment of Ëmê-êgë Dêtîkè suffered from many setbacks, delays, and obsticles, most notably a group of Ëmê-êgë Dêtîkè which required millitary assistance exterminate before the community could finish being built.

Ëmê-êgë Dêtîkè was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Ëmê-êgë Dêtîkè is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature plaster covered brickwork used to form structures with an emphasis on symmetry, proportion, geometry and the regularity of parts. Orderly arrangements of columns, pilasters and lintels, as well as the use of semicircular arches, hemispherical domes, niches and aediculae can be found everywhere such that only size of building and yard can be used to measure the general prosparity of a given building's owners due to a general wealthy feeling the style gives off.

Ëmê-êgë Dêtîkè is buildings are arranged arround a network of premissive packed earth streets which form a grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town is protected by a humble stone fence which is tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. Astonishigly, the peasent-grade are in pristine condishion, as if they had just been finished before you laied eyes upon them.

Locals can be overheard having academic discussions, as well as talking about scholarly subjects in general. Ëmê-êgë Dêtîkè has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Ëmê-êgë Dêtîkè has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Ëmê-êgë Dêtîkè's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Ëmê-êgë Dêtîkè possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.

Ëmê-êgë Dêtîkè has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Ëmê-êgë Dêtîkè's natural decorations nor waterways.

Ëmê-êgë Dêtîkè has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Ëmê-êgë Dêtîkè has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

Ëmê-êgë Dêtîkè's locals are divided into several castes. They may be organized by social role, by imputed nobility of birth, by ethnic origins, or any other dividing principle, but they cannot imagine any other way of organizing themselves. A hierarchy of castes is not inevitable, but there will be social and legal limits applied to ensure that each caste remains fixed in its function. The outside world may or may not respect these distinctions when dealing with the locals.

Ëmê-êgë Dêtîkè's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known for its fluid and florid elaborate style, comprising ornate, asymmetric designs and pastel shades. It is often considered to be a playful, light style, which made exuberant use of curves and emphasized subtle asymmetry in the general shape of its structures. Walls, ceilings and moldings are decorated with numerous interlacing of curves and counter-curves based on the shapes of ‘C’ and ‘S’, along with shell forms and other naturalistic shapes.

Due to the actions of local Kami, summer is recurring in Ëmê-êgë Dêtîkè.

The Herd Animal, Scythe Horn near Ëmê-êgë Dêtîkè are known to be almost tame, such that they can be put to domestic use.

Ëmê-êgë Dêtîkè's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in autumn and involves gestures to channel Chronomancy energies of tier 2 via guttural bellowing.
